Laguna Beach Legal has been nominated as Best Professional Service of the Year by the Laguna Beach Chamber of Commerce. The winner will be announced at the award ceremony which will take place on January 23, 2015 at 6:00 p.m.
This is a double honor for Ellie Tipton Ortiz, because the Woman's Club of Laguna Beach was also nominated at Best Non-Profit of the Year. Ellie is the Past President of the Woman's Club of Laguna Beach and currently serves on the board. Ellie will join her fellow board members for a double victory (fingers crossed)! |

Nine women were
nominated to be the Laguna Beach Woman’s Club 2014 “Woman of the Year.” Short
bios were submitted for each nominee, by their nominators. Below is mine. I was nominated by a fellow board member of the Woman's Club, who I've known since we were 18 years old.
A luncheon to celebrate the winner will be held at the Woman’s Club and is open
to the public.
 Ellie Ortiz and I met at the start of our adult lives at Saddleback Valley College. Soon after, life took us in different directions and we lost touch for years. |

The Chamber of Commerce has started the first
annual Scarecrow Fest and Contest. Twenty-two local businesses are
participating in the Scarecrow Contest. The scarecrows are judged based
on the following criteria: Most Laguna Beach; Best Use of Natural
Materials; Most Humorous; Best Use of Recycled Material; Best Business Theme;
Spookiest; Most Artistic; and Best Action Scarecrow. Voters are asked to
visit each location before making their final decision. A ballot box is
located at each location. |

 Laguna Beach Legal will donate $62.50 from the proceeds of every Living Trust prepared through the end of 2012 to Komen for the Cure. The cost for a mammogram is $125 and Laguna Beach Legal hopes to provide a mammogram to at least 50 women through this fund raising effort. Our Living Trusts are available for all California residents and can be prepared and mailed to non-local patrons, who don't have the ability to visit our office in person. The cost for a complete estate plan is as follows: |

 Come
join us for the Grand Opening and Ribbon Cutting Ceremony. Laguna Beach Mayor, Toni Iseman
will be doing the ribbon cutting honors. Also attending Attorney, Steve Dicterow
former mayor and newest addition to Laguna Beach Legal. We
will be serving appetizers and champagne, courtesy of French 75, for this special occasion. This event takes place on the first Thursday of the month which is Laguna Beach's popular Art Walk. Hope you can join us!!! |
